My doctoral student Aimee Hisey (https://historianhisey.com) took this photo of the Mexico City location of the murders on October 23, 2022, the 233rd anniversary of the Dongo Massacre when 11 men and women were brutally murdered with machetes while preparing to go to bed or already were in bed that evening. This building at Donceles 88 (previously the Calle de Cordobanes 13) was built in more recent decades, but has a rather grim and haunted appearance. Interesting to see the prominent street light, which has a symbolism relating to the fact that the street was probably dark in 1789, and a solution for murder/robberies at the time was installing public lanterns.
